This Payroll Specialist role supports payroll operations within a well-established CPA firm that services a diverse client base. The position is hands-on and focused on accurate payroll processing, employee record maintenance, reporting, and client support. Core Responsibilities

* Process payroll for single and multi-company environments
* Maintain employee payroll records including new hires, changes, and deductions
* Ensure accurate setup of taxes, benefits, and deductions
* Support payroll reporting and internal documentation
* Assist with payroll tax coordination and reconciliations
* Help support year-end processing including W-2 preparation
* Respond to payroll questions from clients and internal teams
* Partner with accounting and HR teams to resolve discrepancies
* Maintain accuracy and confidentiality across all payroll activities


Qualifications

* 3+ years of payroll processing experience
* Experience in multi-company or multi-state payroll environments preferred
* Strong understanding of payroll processes and reporting
* Familiarity with payroll systems (ADP or similar a plus)
* Experience with QuickBooks or accounting system integration helpful
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
* Clear communication and customer-service mindset
